Head of People

About the role

Cast UK Limited is seeking a dynamic Head of People to lead recruitment, people operations and culture across its fast‑growing scale‑up. This senior HR role will shape talent strategy, ensure seamless onboarding and maintain robust HR infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end hiring for all departments, from pipeline creation to offer negotiation.
• Develop scalable sourcing methods for hard‑to‑fill roles, including passive candidate outreach and talent pool management.
• Design and deliver an effective onboarding experience that accelerates new‑hire productivity.
• Maintain HR infrastructure: onboarding/offboarding, contracts, personnel records, payroll liaison, equity tracking, ATS/HRIS data integrity, compliance and policy documentation.
• Partner with managers to retain top talent, identify future leaders and address performance issues promptly.
• Embed a culture of accountability, urgency, honesty and excellence throughout the organisation.
• Align staffing levels with business growth, peak demand and temporary staffing needs.
• Manage relationships with staffing agencies and recruitment vendors.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or managing core HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, contracts, records, HRIS/ATS, payroll coordination, compliance).
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage candidate pipelines through direct outreach and headhunting.
• Strong capability to support managers with performance conversations, retention risk identification and early corrective action.
• Track record of fostering a high‑performance culture where employees feel challenged and supported.
