Head of Product Development - Public Markets

About the role

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc, is recruiting a Head of Product Development to join its Product team. Reporting to the Head of Global Product, the role leads a team of Product Development Managers and is accountable for new product development across Public Markets strategies. It is based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed feasibility assessments for new products, ensuring they meet clear client needs, have strong investment capability and capacity, sound financial business cases and can be delivered operationally.
• Oversee the build and launch of new products, including project management, with a focus on good client outcomes and responsible risk management.
• Collaborate across all areas of Aviva Investors.

Required profile

• Strong, demonstrable experience in product roles within the investment industry, with awareness of product trends, innovation and regulatory developments.
• Experience launching ETF products, with a strong understanding of tokenisation ideally.
• People leadership experience, able to motivate, develop and empower individuals and teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements to keep product design and development compliant.
• Strong communication skills, engaging clearly with committees, boards and colleagues at all levels.
