Head of Residential Conveyancing – Senior Legal Role

About the role

The firm is seeking an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead its property department in Wiltshire. This senior position offers a clear pathway to partnership and the autonomy to shape the team and service offering.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the residential conveyancing department, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of solicitors, legal executives and licensed conveyancers.
• Handle a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new‑build matters.
• Drive business development and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents and referrers.
• Contribute to the firm’s strategic growth and partnership ambitions.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with significant residential conveyancing experience.
• Proven leadership or senior fee‑earner experience, ready to step into a management role.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent client‑care skills.
• Ambition to progress to partnership within a forward‑thinking environment.

• Residential conveyancing expertise (freehold, leasehold, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds).
