Head of Sales – Automotive

About the role

The Head of Sales will lead both new and used vehicle departments at Mercedes‑Benz of Bath, driving profitability and customer retention. This full‑time position includes weekend work to ensure the highest level of service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create annual dealership sales forecasts and targets and communicate them to the sales team.
• Oversee profitability across new and used vehicle sales.
• Hire, monitor, and develop department managers and executives.
• Hold weekly sales meetings, provide mentoring, and support to the sales team.
• Implement strategies to improve customer retention and achieve sales growth.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a senior sales role within the automotive industry.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on profitability.
• Innovative mindset with the capacity to introduce new ideas and drive performance.
