Head of School – Specialist School

About the role

The Trust is seeking a dynamic Head of School to lead a specialist secondary setting focused on SEN/SEMH. You will guide a dedicated behaviour team and collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to deliver the best outcomes for pupils with complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the school’s behaviour team, setting clear expectations and strategies.
• Support the delivery of tailored provision for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning difficulties.
• Work closely with therapists, support staff and parents to coordinate interventions and monitor progress.
• Implement a range of behaviour and emotional regulation strategies across the school.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or NPQ SEN.
• Extensive leadership experience within SEND and inclusion settings.
• Fair but firm approach to management.
• Understanding of the strategic expectations of a Head of School role.
