Head of Site Operations – Defence Munitions

About the role

Lead a critical defence site of national importance, ensuring safe, secure and efficient operations. You will be responsible for delivering essential defence outputs in a highly regulated, safety‑critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for the overall safety, security and efficiency of the site.
• Lead and develop a diverse, high‑performing team, managing personnel and resources.
• Oversee storage, maintenance and distribution of munitions, equipment and complex weapons.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, security and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with military colleagues, regulatory bodies and wider DE&S teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational performance and safety.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a regulated or defence environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Residency in the UK for the past five years.
• Strong stakeholder management and decision‑making skills.
