Head of Subject - ICT

About the role

King's InterHigh, an online school within Inspired Education, is recruiting a Head of Subject - ICT for London. The post provides leadership and strategic direction for the ICT department, working under the Head of Computing and closely with the Executive Head. It is a permanent, full-time role starting 4 January 2027, with a salary of £47,000 to £49,000 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the ICT department.
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment, quality assurance and academic performance across Key Stages.
• Monitor student progress and implement interventions to raise attainment and achievement.
• Manage, coach and appraise teaching staff, supporting professional development and high-quality teaching.
• Analyse assessment and examination data to drive departmental improvement and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with academic, pastoral and support teams to improve student outcomes and wellbeing.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement planning, self-evaluation and cross-curricular initiatives.
• Promote student engagement through enrichment activities, clubs and subject-related events.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets and documentation, ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
