Head of Supply Chain & Logistics

About the role

The Head of Supply Chain & Logistics is a senior, strategic position based in Aberdeen, responsible for leading supply chain, procurement and logistics across the oil and gas value chain. Reporting to the senior leadership team, the role oversees a combined department of around 80 staff and drives the transformation of legacy organisations into a unified, high‑performing upstream company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transformation and integration of supply chain and logistics activities, establishing a unified operating model and standardised processes.
• Develop and implement an integrated supply chain and logistics strategy aligned with business objectives and production plans.
• Drive standardisation, optimisation and localisation of supply chain processes.
• Provide strategic advice on supply risk, cost, performance and capacity planning as a senior leadership team member.
• Set strategic direction, organisational priorities and performance expectations for supply chain and logistics.
• Promote a strong safety culture across suppliers and logistics partners.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Oversee onshore and offshore logistics operations, including marine and aviation logistics.
• Ensure supply continuity, asset integrity and operational uptime through robust risk management.
• Manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities: strategic sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory, warehousing and distribution.
• Define governance and assurance approaches to meet HSSE, regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive upstream operator background in oil and gas.
• Proven experience leading large, complex supply chain and logistics functions.
• Demonstrated success in transformation and integration projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and safety‑focused mindset.
