Head of Supply Chain & Strategic Partnerships

About the role

Exergy3 is seeking a senior leader to design and build its supply chain as the company moves from prototype manufacturing to commercial scale. Based in Edinburgh or Munich, you will shape the end‑to‑end sourcing, manufacturing and delivery network for a high‑temperature thermal energy storage system that decarbonises industrial heat.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own Exergy3’s full supply‑chain strategy, from raw‑material sourcing to customer‑site delivery.
• Build a scalable ecosystem of suppliers and contract manufacturers capable of supporting the shift from first‑of‑a‑kind (FOAK) to repeatable (NOAK) production.
• Define sourcing strategies for critical components such as heating elements, refractory systems, pressure vessels, electrical infrastructure and control systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Director, Project Delivery team and Commercial team to ensure manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness and delivery commitments.
• Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and participate in the commercial operational leadership team.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and scaling supply‑chain functions in industrial or cleantech environments.
• Strong commercial and operational leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of establishing manufacturing partnerships and managing complex supplier networks.
• Senior‑level experience, capable of operating with high autonomy and strategic impact.
