Head of Treasury (UK)

About the role

Hyundai Capital UK Ltd, a joint venture operating under the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis finance brands, is seeking a Head of Treasury for its UK operations. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer and Finance Director, the role will define and execute the treasury strategy, manage liquidity, funding and risk across economic cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall treasury strategy, including capital structure, funding and liquidity management.
• Oversee debt capital markets activities, bank loans, securitisation and other funding sources.
• Maintain appropriate liquidity levels and manage treasury‑related risk, including hedge positions.
• Prepare and deliver an annual treasury plan, forecasts and budgeting aligned with senior management objectives.
• Review and validate funding structure, monitor performance versus budget and report to shareholders.
• Produce regular treasury dashboards, ALM indices, self‑funding and capital ratio reports, and support stress‑testing and contingency planning.
• Lead treasury matters in the Asset‑Liability Committee and coordinate committee material preparation.
• Set objectives for direct reports, ensure training, and promote professional development within the treasury team.

Required profile

• Significant experience in treasury management within a corporate or financial institution.
• Proven ability to design and execute treasury strategies across multiple funding channels.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial forecasting and risk assessment.
• Leadership experience managing a team and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and treasury controls.
