Health and Safety Officer – Full‑time in Horsham

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Officer to join our small, supportive team in Horsham. You will be responsible for managing operational risk and promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff members. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Review, maintain and develop clear, practical health and safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to create new procedures.
• Support effective health and safety systems that satisfy legal and business requirements.
• Share best practices and advise teams on creating safe working environments.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, reviews and analyse related data.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential).
• Strong understanding of current health and safety regulations in a commercial setting.
• Approachable, collaborative and proactive communicator.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and pay close attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
