Health and Social Care Assessor (4‑day week)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to deliver apprenticeship assessments across Yorkshire on a compressed 4‑day week. The role combines remote and face‑to‑face assessments, supporting learners from Levels 2 to 5.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support learners working towards Health and Social Care apprenticeships, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
• Plan and manage a diary of visits and reviews to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress.
• Motivate and advise learners, overcoming barriers to learning.
• Meet KPI targets for visits, paperwork quality and overall administration.

Required profile

• Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Proven experience delivering full Health and Social Care apprenticeships.
• Solid occupational background in elderly care.
• Good ICT proficiency.
• Confidence delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
• Willingness to conduct both online and face‑to‑face assessments.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Flexibility to travel across Yorkshire.

What we offer

• Permanent position with a 4‑day week (compressed hours).
• Take‑home salary £27,500 – £30,700 per year (not pro‑rata).
• Salary progression after successful probation.
