Health & Safety / Liability Risk Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety and Liability Risk Consultant to join our Casualty Risk Consulting Practice. The role supports multi‑site, high‑hazard organisations across a range of sectors, helping clients reduce loss, improve safety performance and strengthen their risk profile.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional Health & Safety and liability risk consultancy.
• Conduct liability‑focused assessments, inspections and management system reviews.
• Evaluate controls and governance for Employers’ Liability/Public Liability exposures and provide practical recommendations.
• Produce high‑quality written reports for clients, brokers and underwriters.
• Interpret emerging liability risks, legislation and industry trends.
• Support clients with ISO 45001 implementation and continuous improvement.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, brokers and internal teams to embed a sustainable risk culture.
• Represent the business at events and share technical insights internally.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with strong practical experience; professional membership (e.g., CMIOSH, CIRM) preferred.
• Experience in Health & Safety or Liability Risk Consulting within insurance or large/multi‑site environments.
• Strong understanding of Employers’ Liability/Public Liability risks, legislation and risk management systems.
• Sector experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, public sector or infrastructure is beneficial.
