About the role
We are seeking motivated Healthcare Assistants to join our Ophthalmology Out‑Patient Department across BMEC and Sandwell. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and offers the chance to develop your qualifications while delivering compassionate, dignified care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑standard patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist with clinical tasks in the Ophthalmology OPD, ensuring safety and comfort for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow departmental protocols.
- Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering efficient, high‑quality services.
Required profile
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Willingness to achieve NVQ Level 3/BTEC during employment.
- Commitment to treating patients with dignity, compassion and respect.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts and adapt to a busy OPD environment.
