Healthcare Co‑ordinator – Somerset

About the role

The Healthcare Co‑ordinator will ensure safe and effective delivery of care across supported living, residential care and nursing services in Somerset. You will manage staffing rotas, respond to urgent staffing needs and maintain high standards of person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff rotas and match staff to shifts, including out‑of‑hours/on‑call duties.
• Monitor staffing levels, raise risks and ensure compliance with safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
• Work closely with care teams to support service delivery and handle last‑minute changes.
• Maintain accurate records using electronic rostering systems and Microsoft Office.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients and external stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Healthcare or Care Co‑ordinator, or in a similar staffing role.
• Background in supported living, residential care or nursing agency settings.
• Strong understanding of safe staffing, safeguarding and person‑centred care principles.
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on‑call rota.
