Healthcare Lawyer – Inquests Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in inquests to join a leading national law firm’s specialist Healthcare team in Liverpool. You will work on high‑profile public‑law matters, providing expert advice and advocacy for clients across the health and social care sector.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients throughout inquest proceedings, including courtroom advocacy.
• Provide guidance on public‑law issues such as governance, constitutional matters, judicial review, human rights and public/patient consultation.
• Assist with Court of Protection matters when required.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering commercially‑focused advice.
• Identify opportunities to expand the practice and collaborate with colleagues on multidisciplinary cases.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 12 months of experience handling inquest matters.
• Strong advocacy and communication abilities.
• Commitment to exceptional client service and relationship building.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with interest in business development.
