Healthcare Support Worker – Community Treatment & Adult Care

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a caring and motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join its District Nursing teams in West Dunbartonshire. This permanent, part‑time position (21.5 hours per week) is based at the Vale Centre for Health and Care and focuses on delivering community‑based nursing support to adults.

Key responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing interventions and personal care to patients in their homes.
• Support district nurses in delivering person‑centred care plans.
• Work independently in clinical or homely settings while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Document care activities accurately and adhere to NHS policies and procedures.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
• Current experience as a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW).
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, person‑centred care.
