About the role
Berry Recruitment is looking for HGV Class 1 drivers to join a client in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role offers a 12‑week temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment, covering both day and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a Class 1 HGV on 12‑hour shifts following a 4 ON / 4 OFF pattern.
- Start shifts between 4 am and 6 am for both day and night schedules.
- Adhere to all road safety and company policies while delivering goods.
Required profile
- New Pass drivers (under 12 months experience) are welcome.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points and no driving bans.
- Valid CPC and Tacho cards are mandatory.
Required skills
What we offer
- PAYE employment with overtime at £23.46 per hour.
- Day shift rate £15.64‑£16.67 per hour; night shift rate £16.67‑£17.69 per hour.
- 28 days of holiday (pro‑rated) and access to exclusive vouchers and benefits via an app.
- Training provided for new pass and inexperienced drivers.
- Potential transition to a permanent role after the 12‑week period.
