HGV Class 1 Driver – New Pass Accepted (Banbury)

About the role

We are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers to join a client in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role starts as a 12‑week temporary assignment with the possibility of permanent placement, working 12‑hour shifts on a 4‑on/4‑off pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a heavy goods vehicle (Class 1) safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
• Load, secure and unload goods in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logbooks.
• Adhere to scheduled start times (4 am–6 am) for both day and night shifts.
• Comply with all road‑traffic regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and TACHO cards.
• New Pass drivers (under 12 months) are welcome.
• Maximum of six penalty points and no driving bans.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and 4‑on/4‑off rota.

Required skills

• HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• TACHO card.
