HGV Class 1 Trunk Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Trunk Driver to join our client’s logistics team in Banbury. The role involves transporting goods between depots and suppliers, ensuring timely and secure deliveries across various shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV to perform trunking duties to depots and suppliers.
• Secure cargo safely for each journey and verify load integrity.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery windows, including weekend and night shifts.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records of mileage and deliveries.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a Class 1 HGV.
• Valid HGV Class 1 licence held for at least one year.
• Possession of a CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and a Digi‑Card.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including days, weekends and nights.

What we offer

• Pay rate of £18.00 per hour for standard shifts.
• Higher rates of £22.00 per hour for days, Saturdays and Sundays.
• Night shift rate of £20.00 per hour plus overtime at £22.00.
• Various shift patterns and long‑shift options.
• Temporary ongoing positions with the possibility of permanent placement.
