HGV Class 2 Driver – Commercial Foodservice Equipment Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join a specialist transport team that moves commercial catering equipment across the United Kingdom. Based in Milton Keynes, you will operate 18‑ton vehicles on nationwide routes, delivering and collecting equipment for foodservice customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 18‑ton HGV Class 2 vehicles for deliveries and collections throughout the UK.
• Load, unload and secure commercial catering equipment, using pallet trucks and sack barrows where required.
• Maintain the vehicle in clean and safe condition, performing basic checks and routine upkeep.
• Deliver to customer sites, assist with drop‑offs and provide professional, courteous service.
• Accurately record delivery information and adhere to scheduled time windows.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Clean driving licence preferred; CPC licence required.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points on the licence.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable and flexible with the ability to work early starts, occasional overnights and weekends.

Required skills

• Operating 18‑ton HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Pallet‑truck and sack‑barrow handling.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
