HGV Class 2 Driver – Full‑time Temp‑Perm

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our logistics team in Tilbury. The role involves operating a heavy‑goods vehicle safely, delivering goods to multiple locations and ensuring punctual, reliable service while upholding the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, complying with all road safety and traffic regulations.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure optimal safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch teams regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
• Follow all company health and safety policies to maintain a secure working environment.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Class C) licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery operations.
• Familiarity with flat‑bed transportation and securing loads safely during transit.
• Strong understanding of driving regulations and road‑safety protocols.
• Excellent time‑management skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading cargo when required.
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
