About the role
We are seeking an experienced HGV Shunter Driver to join a specialist fleet operating in High Wycombe. The role involves shunting and manoeuvring heavy goods vehicles within a busy yard on an ad‑hoc, full‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Shunt and position HGV units safely and accurately in a confined yard environment.
- Reverse and manoeuvre vehicles in tight spaces, ensuring precision placement.
- Liaise with on‑site teams to confirm correct vehicle positioning.
- Perform pre‑shift vehicle checks and report any defects.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Proven experience as a shunter or yard driver.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Professional and reliable approach.
Required skills
- Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- CPC certification.
- Digital Tachograph operation.
- Advanced vehicle control and reversing capability.
