HGV Skip Driver – £14.40/hr Temp-to-Perm in Fareham

About the role

Wild Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to operate a skip lorry for a leading waste‑management client in the Fareham area. This is a temp‑to‑perm position offering a competitive hourly rate and a regular Monday‑to‑Friday schedule. You will be responsible for safe, professional delivery and collection of skips at commercial and residential sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and collect 18‑tonne skip lorries to and from commercial and residential locations.
• Transport waste to recycling centres or transfer stations.
• Carry out vehicle exchanges safely and maintain a professional customer interface.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work a minimum of 10 hours per day, starting at 6 am, with overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with CPC and an up‑to‑date digital tachograph.
• Minimum one year of HGV driving experience.
• Reliability, safety‑focused attitude and strong customer service orientation.
• Local knowledge of the Fareham area is advantageous.
