Higher Education Lecturer – Football Coaching & Performance

About the role

The Trust is seeking a part‑time Higher Education Lecturer to deliver its three‑year BSc (Hons) Football Coaching & Performance degree. You will join a vibrant community that blends academic study with real‑world football industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lectures, seminars and practical workshops covering coaching, performance analysis, sport psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, physiology and talent identification.
• Design assessment materials, mark assignments and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Integrate current industry practices and insights from academy environments into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust and Middlesex University partners to enhance learning opportunities.
• Support student progression into football‑related careers through mentorship and networking.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about developing future football professionals.
• Strong knowledge of football coaching, performance and player development pathways.
• Experience or solid understanding of talent identification and academy environments (highly advantageous).
• Ability to convey complex concepts clearly to higher‑education students.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract (part‑time, 14 hours per week).
