About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Braintree from September. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to support teaching and learning across the school and make a positive impact on pupil outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom support and cover lessons as required.
- Lead learning activities and interventions to support whole‑class and individual pupils.
- Assist teachers with planning and delivering curriculum content.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor and report on pupil progress.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a UK school.
- HLTA status or relevant qualifications (desirable).
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Current safeguarding training (within the last year preferred).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Required skills
- Classroom management.
- Ability to deliver targeted interventions.
- Strong communication with pupils and staff.
