Hire Controller

About the role

The Hire Controller is a key member of Speedy’s depot team, acting as the frontline liaison between customers and internal departments. You will manage the full hire cycle – from order entry to delivery and collection – ensuring a smooth, timely service that meets customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Process hire orders, schedule deliveries and collections, and coordinate with stock teams, drivers and engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment availability and customer interactions.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the hire process to minimise delays.
• Support the depot’s ESG strategy by promoting sustainable practices.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Adaptable, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Valid driving licence.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales/operational role.
