Hire Desk Controller – Construction Machinery

About the role
We are seeking a Hire Desk Controller to join a well‑established, independent hire company that specialises in construction machinery. You will work in a friendly environment with full autonomy, supporting a trusted customer base and ensuring smooth hire operations.
Key responsibilities
- Take inbound hire enquiries from customers.
- Complete all paperwork and administration for each hire.
- Check machine availability and verify that equipment inspections are up to date.
- Deliver high levels of customer service throughout the hiring process.
- Liaise with internal team members to coordinate bookings accurately and efficiently.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Customer Service, or Administrative role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience in crane hire, powered access, or plant hire is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organisational and customer‑service abilities.
Required skills
- Salesforce (experience preferred).
What we offer
- Salary package between £35,000 and £45,000 per year.
