Home Manager – Residential Care Home

About the role

Mount Ephraim House, a newly renovated residential care home in Tunbridge Wells, is seeking a compassionate Home Manager to lead a dedicated team delivering residential, dementia and short‑term respite care. You will shape a warm, person‑centred environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and high‑quality care for older residents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a caring environment that promotes independence, privacy and personal expression.
• Maintain all legal and statutory records, insurance certificates and registration documents.
• Investigate complaints, compile reports and take appropriate action.
• Liaise with CQC inspectors, ensure full regulatory compliance and keep records up to date under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Oversee staffing, recruit suitable employees, deliver effective inductions and identify training needs.
• Conduct regular supervisions, assessments and team meetings to foster a supportive culture.

Required profile

• Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g., RMA).
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a care or nursing home for older people.
• Experience managing budgets and business plans.
• Strong competence in maths and English.
