Hospital @ Home Nurse – Band 6 (Children)

About the role

We are seeking a Band 6 Children’s Nurse to join the Hospital @ Home team at the Royal London Children’s Hospital. The role provides acute, community‑based nursing care for acutely unwell children in Tower Hamlets, helping families avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient patient flow from emergency department to home care, supporting the 4‑hour target.
• Deliver highly skilled acute nursing assessment and treatment to children in their homes.
• Collaborate daily with ward managers, paediatricians, matrons and the flow team to expedite referrals.
• Act as a role model and leader for the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development of new care pathways and service evaluation.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with Band 6 level experience in acute paediatric nursing.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions.
• Strong team‑working and patient‑centred attitude.

Required skills
