Housekeeper / Porter

About the role

Join the housekeeping team supporting The Dean Neurological Centre, providing a safe and clean environment for vulnerable patients and visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining high‑standard cleanliness across all areas of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean wards, bedrooms, office spaces, and visitor areas to a spotless standard.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition.
• Follow hospital security policies and procedures.
• Greet visitors professionally and maintain excellent telephone etiquette.
• Build positive working relationships with staff, visitors, and service users.
• Undertake any additional tasks appropriate to the role.
• Participate in mandatory and statutory training annually.

Required profile

• Previous experience cleaning in a similar healthcare or institutional environment.
• Enjoy cleaning and take pride in a job well done.
• Ability to prioritize duties effectively.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Capable of spotting and resolving problems efficiently.
