Housekeeper – Residential Care Home

About the role

Join our caring community at Alexandra House, a residential and dementia care home in Poole. As a Housekeeper you will help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of communal areas and residents' private rooms.
• Support the laundry team with washing, drying and ironing of residents' clothing.
• Follow all health, safety and COSHH regulations when using cleaning products and chemicals.
• Work collaboratively with the wider housekeeping team to foster a friendly atmosphere.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for providing a fresh and comfortable environment.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time, including occasional weekends.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Understanding of COSHH compliance for safe chemical use.
