Housekeeping Assistant – Care Home

About the role

The Housekeeping Assistant will help keep a purpose‑built care home in Bearsden clean, safe and welcoming for its 53 residents. Working alongside the wider team, you will ensure rooms, bathrooms and communal areas meet high hygiene standards while also supporting laundry operations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy residents' rooms, bathrooms and shared spaces to a high standard of presentation.
• Carry out laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, labeling and returning clothing and linens.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and housekeeping procedures for all tasks.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an organised and comfortable environment.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry is welcomed but not essential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills are required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £12.71.
• Contracted full‑time hours.
