Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Ardenlee Care Home, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our 32 residents. You will work both independently and as part of a wider team, supporting daily cleaning and laundry duties to ensure high standards of hygiene and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing.
• Follow infection control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Assist with stock management for cleaning and laundry supplies.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry is welcomed but not essential.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.
• Ability to operate laundry machines safely.
