Housekeeping Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

Fairfield Enriched Living is seeking a part‑time Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents in Oxford. You will work as part of a supportive team, ensuring high standards of hygiene and comfort throughout the home.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning of residents' rooms, dining areas, lounges, hallways and other communal spaces.
• Clean en‑suites, communal bathrooms and toilets according to the cleaning schedule.
• Handle occasional spillages and support laundry duties.
• Maintain and clean housekeeping equipment, reporting any replacement needs.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and store them securely.
• Follow health and safety regulations and infection‑control policies.
• Report any incidents of ill‑treatment, complaints or safety concerns to management.
• Complete mandatory training and respect confidentiality of resident information.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and a compassionate approach to resident care.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as agreed.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
