Housing Litigation Solicitor – City of London

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is seeking two experienced Housing Litigation Solicitors to join its City of London office. Reporting directly to the Department Director, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of housing matters for both public and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of housing disputes, including homelessness applications, disrepair claims, eviction and possession proceedings, property ownership disputes, unlawful eviction cases, succession rights, and neighbourhood anti‑social behaviour issues.
• Provide advocacy in court at all levels, including higher courts and judicial review matters.
• Attend to clients, take instructions, prepare case files and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording and costing procedures.
• Offer technical expertise and guidance to junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a strong background in housing law.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver effective solutions.
• Experience in both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded housing matters.
• Excellent client handling and advocacy skills.
