Housing Maintenance Tutor (Level 5)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Housing Maintenance Tutor to join the Places for People Academy. In this role you will deliver Level 5 Housing Professional qualifications, focusing on repairs and maintenance within social housing, and support both internal and external learners to build the skills and confidence needed in the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging training sessions on housing repairs, maintenance legislation and compliance.
• Develop learning materials, including presentations and progress reports, to support learner outcomes.
• Facilitate group workshops and one‑to‑one coaching, both remotely and at various UK locations.
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a clean driving licence and manage travel expenses for site visits.

Required profile

• Level 5 housing qualification or extensive senior‑level experience in the housing sector.
• Strong knowledge of social housing repairs, maintenance legislation and compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in coaching, training or lesson planning.
• Willingness to obtain education and assessment qualifications (A1/TAQA/CAVA/AET).
