Housing Officer – Community Support

About the role

GreenSquareAccord is seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join its Localities Team in Birmingham. The role involves delivering high‑quality tenancy management services, supporting residents and working closely with partner agencies to create safer, cleaner neighbourhoods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of tenancy sustainment, anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases and emergency transfers.
• Conduct estate inspections, neighbourhood management and tenancy audits.
• Investigate fraud, process tenancy changes and prepare legal documentation.
• Collaborate with local authorities, police, social services and support agencies.
• Provide advice and support to vulnerable customers to maintain successful tenancies.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Organised, resilient and proactive with strong communication abilities.
• Experience in housing or tenancy management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Proven track record in managing ASB and tenancy enforcement cases.
• Ability to work with vulnerable customers and external partners.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Required skills

• Proficiency with housing management software such as MRI.

What we offer

• Salary of £33,400 per annum plus a £750 car allowance.
• 37‑hour work week based at Brindley Place, Birmingham.
