HR Business Partner (Generalist)

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a growing organisation in a true generalist role, reporting directly to the CEO. You will support multiple sites across East Anglia, partnering closely with operational leaders to provide expert HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, organisational development, engagement and change initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Partner with managers to deliver practical HR solutions that support business objectives.
• Lead and contribute to people‑focused projects such as talent development, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement across the business.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across all sites.
• Use HR data and insights to support decision‑making and drive positive outcomes.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualified minimum (Level 7 desirable).
• Proven experience in a Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role.
• Strong employee‑relations knowledge and up‑to‑date understanding of UK employment law.
• Previous experience supporting multiple sites is essential.
• Confident influencing and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach.

What we offer

• Salary up to £55,000 per annum.
• Fully office‑based role in Basildon.
• Travel to sites across East Anglia approximately twice per month.
