HR Business Partner

About the role

SBS is looking for an HR Business Partner based in Sheffield, working 60% onsite and 40% remotely, with travel to London and Bristol required. The role leads transformation activities, supports colleagues through change and oversees employee relations, acting as a trusted partner who provides insight, constructive challenge and practical, people-centred solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transformation activity, ensuring colleagues are supported, engaged and set up for success through change
• Oversee employee relations matters, making sure outcomes are fair, consistent and legally compliant
• Help deliver initiatives that improve performance, colleague experience and organisational capability
• Promote the organisation's values and culture as a role model, keeping people motivated, skilled, engaged and cared for
• Keep policies and practices aligned with UK employment legislation while strengthening compliance, controls and risk management

Required profile

• Significant experience as an HR Business Partner in a complex global organisation
• A strong track record of supporting senior leaders through change
• Experience managing employee relations matters
• CIPD qualification
• Proactive, analytical and people-centred approach, using data and insight to inform decisions
• Broad generalist HR expertise, with the ability to engage specialist input when needed

Required skills

• Exceptional communication skills, able to build trust quickly and work collaboratively
• Experience using Workday
• Curiosity about emerging HR technology and AI, applied in a practical, value-adding way
