HR Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join a fast‑growing organisation in Sunderland. You will provide essential HR generalist and administrative support, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across the HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day HR support and maintain operational excellence.
• Manage the HR inbox, responding to queries promptly and professionally.
• Administer the full recruitment process, from advertising to candidate communication.
• Maintain HR Information Systems with accurate data and compliance.
• Handle employee records, onboarding documentation, contracts and welcome packs.
• Process payroll administration with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Partner with senior HR colleagues on initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc HR projects aligned with the broader HR agenda.

Required profile

• Proven HR administration experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Solid understanding of HR processes and a desire to develop broader HR competencies.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a high‑performing team.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills.
