About the role
The Department of Medicine, the largest department in the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge, is looking for an organised and proactive HR professional to join its HR team of five. The role provides friendly, accurate HR support across recruitment, payroll, visitors and staff welfare, reporting directly to the Senior HR Coordinator and directly managing one team member.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
- Coordinate visiting researchers
- Advise on HR policies and staff welfare
- Manage payroll and HR administration
- Line manage and support one team member, helping them develop
The team works closely with colleagues across the Department and the wider University, and the HR team operates hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office, with flexibility for additional days.
