HR Manager – Part‑time (3‑4 days)

About the role

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys building positive workplace cultures and supporting operational teams? Join GXO Logistics as an HR Manager supporting the Costa contract across the southern region. You will work closely with operational leaders, trade unions and HR colleagues to deliver people initiatives, manage employee relations and drive engagement across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with site operational leaders to deliver the people plan across Greenford, Willand and Avonmouth, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
• Coach and develop managers to build capability in people management, performance management, succession planning and overall employee experience.
• Lead and manage employee relations cases, providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and dispute resolution.
• Build strong relationships with trade unions and key stakeholders, supporting consultation processes.
• Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, diversity and performance.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) with proven experience operating at HR advisor level or above.
• Strong employee‑relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, dispute resolution and trade‑union engagement.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and coaching skills with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across multiple sites, supporting a 24/7 operational environment.

• Full‑time equivalent salary of £44,000‑£50,000 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time), plus 25 days annual leave and bank holidays.
