HR Operations Assistant (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports the People team of a specialist insurance organisation. Reporting to HR leadership, you will help deliver a high‑quality HR service across the employee lifecycle in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records in the HR system.
• Support monthly payroll processes and liaise with external providers.
• Produce regular HR reports, management information and workforce analytics.
• Assist with onboarding, employee changes and leaver processes.
• Support compensation, benefits and annual salary review activities.
• Respond to employee and manager HR queries.
• Contribute to HR projects, system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support policy reviews and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Assist with audit activities and maintain HR documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in HR Operations or HR Administration.
• Background in financial services, insurance, regulated or professional services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS platforms such as HiBob.
• Payroll administration and employee data management.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
