HSE Manager

About the role

Stena Drilling is looking for an HSE Manager to advise management on quality, health, safety and environmental matters and to run the day-to-day operations of the HSE department. The role covers both onshore and offshore operations and includes acting as the focal point for medical issues in Aberdeen.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operations comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and help set HSE performance goals.
• Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's management system.
• Plan and run HSE programmes, monitor training delivery and liaise with clients so HSE standards are met.
• Support vessel Safety Cases, maintain HSE certifications and act as Deputy Company Security Officer.
• Run an annual onshore and offshore audit programme, review vendor/subcontractor QHSE performance and report compliance status to senior management.
• Take part in incident investigations, develop systems to share lessons learned and keep emergency response plans and drills up to date.
• Review ORAs and Presight data, conduct rig visits and assist with tender documentation.
• Act as focal point for medical issues and liaison between the medical topside provider and Stena Drilling medical personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or NEBOSH diploma.
• Significant experience in the oil and gas industry, including departmental management experience.
• Knowledge of drilling operations and associated equipment.
• Knowledge of UK offshore legislation and international safety standards.
