About the role
We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Advisor to join a fast‑growing, international supply‑chain and engineering business. Based in Newcastle‑under‑Lyme, you will support UK teams and European sites, providing comprehensive HR advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, policy guidance, and general HR enquiries.
- Interpret and implement HR policies consistently across Europe while ensuring compliance with local legislation.
- Coach line managers on people‑management practices and support them through performance, appraisal, and probation processes.
- Manage HR administrative tasks such as contract changes, maternity/paternity leave, flexible‑working requests, and mentor‑program coordination.
- Oversee the HR inbox, respond to UK and European queries, and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance processes, ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
- Assist with recruitment activities: posting ads, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packs, and coordinating onboarding and induction.
- Produce HR data analysis and reports to support strategic decision‑making.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience providing HR advisory and operational support in a multi‑site environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and familiarity with European HR practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee‑relations cases and conduct investigations.
- Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary £35,000‑£40,000 per annum.
- Permanent contract with a hybrid working model (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
