Human Resources Manager

About the role

Charity Link is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Human Resources Manager to lead and deliver HR services across both field‑based fundraising teams and head‑office staff. You will initially manage one HR Field Advisor and cover a second role during maternity leave, with the prospect of building a fully resourced HR team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR function to provide responsive, accurate and timely support (RAPT) to managers and employees.
• Act as HR Field Advisor: support field managers, manage absence, sickness, holiday systems and HR inbox, conduct exit interviews and maintain records.
• Advise and coach managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters, ensuring legal compliance.
• Drive culture, engagement, wellbeing, mental health and EDI initiatives to foster an inclusive, high‑performing environment.
• Own Learning & Development: deliver induction training for ~200 new fundraisers and design broader training and leadership programmes.
• Partner with senior leaders on performance management, objective setting and organisational effectiveness.
• Support development and improvement of HR systems, policies and processes.

Required profile

• Experienced HR professional with a blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
• Proven experience working with senior managers, ideally in sales or field‑based environments.
• Strong background in Learning & Development and team leadership.
• Comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
