Hybrid PIP Nurse – Functional Assessor

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to assess how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical, mental health, and chronic pain conditions, providing compassionate support to help customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand the impact of disability or health conditions.
• Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility.
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of post‑registration adult or mental health experience, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to produce detailed reports.
