Hybrid WCA Doctor – Clinical Assessor

About the role

Join Maximus as a WCA Doctor and use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact daily life. Working in a hybrid model, you will support the Department for Work and Pensions by delivering high‑quality assessments for complex cases, including veterans, neurological and respiratory conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to evaluate disability impact.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility decisions.
• Provide clinical advice to case managers on complaints and enquiries related to PIP referrals.
• Deliver feedback on healthcare professional complaints for professional development and business improvement.

Required profile

• Registered Medical Doctor (GMC registration) – GP or Junior Doctor.
• Minimum 1 year of post‑registration experience, NHS or equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer software for detailed report writing.
