Hygiene Service Technician

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a motivated Hygiene Service Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. You will work independently, managing your own schedule while delivering a range of specialised cleaning services to customers on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to reactive service calls across a variety of environments, including residential, commercial and industrial sites.
• Perform biohazard cleaning, flood water damage remediation, infection control, sharps removal, and crime‑scene or trauma clean‑up.
• Carry out technical cleaning tasks such as high‑level work, silo cleaning and factory cleans.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and receive enhanced pay for out‑of‑hours work.
• Provide expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible patterns, including overtime and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; DBS check may be required.
